Funbis Nursery and Primary School was founded on September 25, 1995, by the late Mrs. A. O. Onanuga, a dedicated educator with a remarkable 35-year career in the Ogun State education sector. Retiring as a seasoned head teacher, she refused to let her passion for education end with her government service. Driven by a vision to uplift the standard of education, she established Funbis School to provide quality learning in a nurturing environment.
The school opened its doors for the 1995/96 academic session with 50 eager pupils, laying the foundation for what would become a legacy of excellence. Over the years, Funbis has continued to grow, shaping young minds with a commitment to academic excellence, moral values, and holistic development.
Today, the school stands as a testament to Mrs. Onanuga’s dream—a place where children are nurtured to become confident, knowledgeable, and responsible individuals.
